Asian Ink is a Chicago-based organization uplifting Asian and Pacific Islander identities through the arts.
OUR MISSION
- To build an interdisciplinary community of AAPI creatives in Chicago
- To facilitate an inclusive space for all Asian identities and other ethnic groups to learn and create together
- To hold physical space for creative growth through open mics, workshops, discussions hours and other events.
- To uplift Asian voices in literature and art as they are not always represented fairly. While membership to the collective is geared towards Asian-identifying individuals, we welcome ALL people at ALL of our events.
- To build partnerships with other minority and creative groups in Chicago. We value working together with other organizations and building solidarities with other ethnic groups. It is integral for us to understand how histories are interlinked and their presence should be honored.
